Food Safety Consortium Introduces Food Authenticity Initiatives at WHO/FAO INFOSAN Meeting

FSC Convener Dr. Terence Lau was invited to speak at the WHO/FAO International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN) about “Food Authenticity and Fraud, Asian Initiatives for Prevention.” The WHO/FAO INFOSAN is a global network of national food safety authorities with 186 member states working together in addressing food contamination risk owing to the increasing globalization of food trade. It aims at the rapid sharing of information during food safety emergencies and exchange of experiences and solutions among members to protect global food health.
